General FAQs

  • When and where do I need to be? minus-thick plus-thick

    This year, UniSA Open Days are both online and on campus. You can jump online for our Virtual Open Day event and get all the study and career information you need in the one place. Then, you can get to know us more by coming on campus to meet your future teachers and to explore our unique spaces and facilities.

    Here’s what’s happening throughout August:

    ONLINE

    Access all of your study and career information in one place. You can download resources, watch a degree presentation and join a live Q&A. You can also explore our student life and support services, or take a virtual tour around our campuses.

    • Virtual Open Day, Tuesday 9 August, 4:00pm – 8:00pm

    ON CAMPUS

    Get to know us more by meeting your teachers and exploring your future campus. Learn about your degree and career options by attending a panel presentation, tour our unique learning spaces and facilities, visit an information booth to connect with staff and students, talk to our career advisers, or go through the uni application process and alternative entry pathways (including UniSA College) with our friendly team.

    • City West + City East Campus Open Day, Sunday 14 August, 10:00am – 3:00pm
    • Mawson Lakes Campus Open Day, Sunday 21 August, 11:00am – 3:00pm
    • Magill Campus Open Day, Wednesday 24 August, 4:00pm – 7:30pm
    • Whyalla Campus Open Day, Sunday 28 August, 11:00am – 3:00pm

    Everyone is welcome to get involved. If you’re interested in studying at university, or you’re a parent, friend, career adviser or teacher, there’s information for everyone.

  • Does it cost anything? minus-thick plus-thick

    Everything is free – that includes access to the online platform and all its features, along with all of the on-campus tours and experiences.

  • How can I stay informed about the latest updates? minus-thick plus-thick

    It’s important to register for UniSA Open Days through our website. That way you’ll stay up to date with the latest information and updates. 

  • Can I attend on-campus events without registering? minus-thick plus-thick

    To help manage capacities and to create a positive event experience, we’re asking everyone to pre-register.

  • Are there Information booths available? minus-thick plus-thick

    Yes, each event on campus also has information booths for you to speak to staff.

    We have also curated study information related to your areas of interest within our Open Days platform, where you can find exclusive information about our degrees from our leading academics, download a digital brochure, and join live webinars.

UniSA's On Campus Open Days were held between 7 August - 28 August 2022.

  • What can I expect at the On Campus Open Days? minus-thick plus-thick

    At our On Campus Open Days you will be able to get to know us more by meeting your teachers and exploring your future campus. Here’s what’s on:

    Career panel presentations – get real insight into different areas of study, and learn about your degree and career options.

    Campus tours – jump on a rolling campus tour to explore our unique learning spaces and facilities. 

    Information booths – talk to degree experts, pick up a brochure, and connect with staff and students to get information on studying at UniSA. 

    Free career advice – talk to our career experts to get advice on your future career. 

    Application support – learn about the uni application process and alternative entry pathways.

  • Is there an all-day campus event this year? minus-thick plus-thick

    There are six on-campus Open Day events this year. Each event will have a range of tours and other experiences available, along with information booths, where you can have a chat with current students and staff about your future degree options. You can register for each on campus event.

  • How do I know which campus to attend? minus-thick plus-thick

    Each of our six campuses are home to a range of UniSA degrees. Visit each of our campus event pages to see what’s on, or check out the table below to see which campus is home to your study area of interest.

  • Do I need to register for the on-campus events? minus-thick plus-thick

    Yes, you’ll need to pre-register to attend our on-campus events. Registering will provide you with a ticket, which is required to be presented at the gates prior to entry. This allows us to manage capacities and ensure everyone can explore in a safe environment.

  • What does my registration include? minus-thick plus-thick

    If you register to attend our on-campus events, you’ll be able to access our campus tours, information booths, presentations and other experiences. You aren’t required to register for individual tours or presentations.

  • Will the events be COVID safe? minus-thick plus-thick

    Yes – we absolutely take community safety very seriously and will be implementing COVID safe guidelines and practices for everyone attending.

    You’ll get email reminders in the lead up to the events, but here’s some important things to remember:

    • If you’re feeling unwell or presenting with COVID-19 symptoms, please stay home.
    • Check-in at the registration desk upon arrival – this lets us know you’re here.
    • Wearing a face mask is strongly recommended in all shared indoor spaces across our campuses.

    We also ask you to maintain 1.5m social distancing whenever possible. Attendees are made aware of these when agreeing to our  Terms and Conditions  for our on campus events.

  • Are there any requirements for tours? minus-thick plus-thick

    Some of the facilities you visit on your tour may require enclosed footwear. We ask that you wear fully-closed shoes when attending the tours – this will keep you nice and safe in our facilities.

  • Can I cancel my registration? minus-thick plus-thick

    You can cancel your registration via your My Open Days itinerary. Ensure that you are logged in to the online platform and then head to the My Open Days dashboard to change your registration/s.

  • Can I bring other people with me? minus-thick plus-thick

    Yes – you have the option of pre-registering two guests to join you on at our on-campus experience. If you want to bring more than two guests, we ask that another member of your group register and add any additional guests to their registration.

  • Can I register for multiple on campus events? minus-thick plus-thick

    Yes – this is a great way to check out different study areas that you’re interested in.

  • Can I attend on-campus events without registering? minus-thick plus-thick

    To help manage capacities and to create a positive event experience, we’re asking everyone to pre-register.

  • Can you accommodate my accessibility needs? minus-thick plus-thick

    Of course – it’s important that everyone can enjoy the Open Day experiences, whether you choose to engage online or on campus. For in-person tours, you can indicate any assistance needed during the registration process or get in touch with our friendly Future Student Enquiries team.
